Rosie the Riveter is a cultural icon of the United States, representing the six million women who worked in manufacturing plants during World War II. This character is now considered a feminist icon in the US. Rosie and her slogan were featured on newspapers, magazines and posters. The image most associated with Rosie is J. Howard Miller's poster, entitled We Can Do It!, which was modeled on factory worker Geraldine Doyle in 1942
