I thought the "Bay Blue" color was darker than it looks in the picture.
The opening by default is cut to make a two-inch border; so the 11x14 mat board I got fits into an 11x14 frame, and has an opening of 7 x 10 inches. It's the actual viewable area that is 7x10 inches.
