Times Square is the intersection of 42nd Street and Broadway in New York City. It is sometimes called "The Crossroads of the World" and is an iconic symbol of New York. It is known for it's large electric advertisments. Every New Years Eve a countdown is held in Times Square and a ball signifying the new year is dropped in the last ten seconds of the old year.
