(More customer reviews)I have had a Lang calendar of some variety in my home for well over 20 years now. If you're not familiar with the Lang line of calendars than you should shop for them here on Amazon, or on the web to familiarize yourself with them. They are probably the largest most widely distributed line of calendars in the world. With dozens of different varieties they have in my opinion the finest and most colorful artwork I have ever come across in a calendar. For years I bought a Lang calendar from local bookstores every year and displayed them by just hanging them on the wall. Then I came across this Lang frame at a local yard sale. After that the calendar didn't merely hang somewhere where we could see it, but in a place where everyone could see it. It graduated from a calendar to something to be displayed. My frame is the exact same size and model as the one pictured here. This particular one is saddle, or light brown. (I painted mine blue). I have also seen them on remote web sites through Amazon in black and red. The frame itself is very well made and as sturdy as they come. I have dropped it on occasion and it has never crack or fallen apart. The Lang calendar slips down inside the frame easily each month when you have to change it, and there is a grooved edge at the bottom for a couple of pencils or pens. Also, please note that Lang calendars are the very same size as most wall calendars that you see at the end of the year in bookstores and gift shops. Just about any wall calendar, not just a Lang, will fit into this fine frame.
If you are someone that buys either a Lang or any other kind of wall calendar every year, or you know someone that likes wall calendars but is hard to buy for, I think this frame would be a very fine purchase or gift for anyone. Especially if you or that someone very much appreciates the artwork of their chosen theme as well. This frame will accentuate your choice very nicely. One last thing, I have almost never seen this frame available anywhere in stores, with the single exception of a Lang store. Even at places that sell a lot of Lang calendars. (Lang has their own gifts shops here and there. Very rare, but there are some). If you are considering it, I would opt to buy it here on Amazon where it is quite reasonably priced. Really nice frame. Recommended...
