We live 1500 miles away from our nearest relative, and this album has helped our daughter know who is who in our family. I purchased this album when our daughter was much younger - she's two now, and we still refer to it. Although we try to travel and visit family at least once a year it's difficult when they are located all over the country. This album has allowed our daughter to "see" who she's talking to while on the phone with family members and to look at them whenever she wants.
It's by no means the real thing, but its durability and ease of use for parents and children make this a great first photo album.
