(More customer reviews)Why is it so difficult to find an accurate replica of John Trumbull's famous painting? The great thing about Trumbull's "Declaration of Independence" is that it portrays most of the men who signed the document. The problem with this copy of Trumbull's work is that it is cut off on both sides, removing four men from the painting (George Wythe and William Whipple on the left side, and Thomas McKean and Philip Livingston on the right). I give it two stars because I have seen worse, but if you are looking for a truly accurate duplication of Trumbull's painting, this isn't it.

It was written by Thomas Jefferson, after being assigned to a "Committee of Five," which also included John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Robert R. Livingston and Roger Sherman.
