Reefer Madness or Tell Your Children (1936) is an exploitation film that focuses on the exagerated dangers of marijuana use. Orignally made as a morality tale to show parents about the dangers of drug use, it was purchased, recut and distributed as an exploitation film. It is considered a cult classic, and a primary example of "midnight movie" genre. In 2005 a made for TV musical remake of Reefer Madness was produced by Showtime.
