Edward St. John Gorey (February 22, 1925 - April 15, 2000) was an American writer and artist. The Gashlycrumb Tinies is an abecedarian book written by Gorey that was first published in 1963. Gorey tells the tale of 26 children (each representing a letter of the alphabet) and their untimely deaths in rhyming dactylic couplets, accompanied by the author's distinctive black and white illustrations.

(More customer reviews)My little guy is at that age where he is always scared of monsters at bed time. I got the great idea of putting up a few posters on the walls near his bed. This was one of our favorites. It had all his favorite characters. Instead of looking at the wall and seeing shadows and monsters, now he looks at his favorites before bed time and I very rarely hear about monsters anymore and even when I do, I remind him that his friends are right there on the wall to scare them away. It has been working so far. :-)

(More customer reviews)The list price on this product is $48, but I paid $9.99 when it was on sale. For $9.99, I was thrilled with what I got. It's a nice print, nice frame, sturdy enough. However, if I had paid $48 I would have been extremely disappointed. While the size and quality is great for ten bucks, it's just not worth almost $50. Depending on how thickly your pockets are lined, you may want to wait for this particular product to go back on sale. If it does, it's a great deal!
EDIT: People have asked, so just in case you need the measurements, the frame is 9 1/2" by 11 1/2". The print inside is much smaller because of the mat.

I ordered this for my new office the colors seemed uplifting and relaxing. I had the poster framed. The poster arrived and the color of the blue is so dark that the branches almost blend in. Very dark looks nothing like the beautiful poster depicted. I was greatly disappointed.
