Wispy Lines (Fractal Colors) Art Poster Print Review

(More customer reviews)As I searched for posters of fractals, I was immediately attracted to the beauty of this one--the dark background, the shimmery wisps... and the price was certainly a bargain! However, the old adage "if it's too good to be true, it probably is" fits my facepalm reaction when I opened my mailing tube. On the print I received, the black color was that faded, red-orange-black color of sunbleached black fabric, and the wisps were fuzzy--not sharp and clean. The paper quality was nice and heavy, but it looked for all purposes as if I had tried to print it myself on my home scanner/printer while my printer was running low on ink. The blurred quality reminded me of times I tried to enlarge an image beyond the pixilation of the photo--tiny cells of color splotching instead of uniform color. I'm afraid this particular print doesn't do justice to the beauty and intricacy of fractal images. The shipping was prompt, though, and the picture was wrapped in plastic as a precautionary measure--I appreciated the care in packaging and the prompt shipping. I'm ready to toss it and chalk this up to "caveat emptor."

(More customer reviews)I had the same experience of ordering this poster from this seller. Ordered on December 3rd to have as a Christmas present. It didn't show up after a couple of weeks so I contacted them and was told the Post Office had damaged the item and another was being shipped out. I got the poster the day after Christmas and it was a map of the world. The letter that came with it said they were out of stock and to please accept this "very rare" map poster. When I called to complain they said the poster I wanted was now magically in stock and they were sending it out right away. Another 2 weeks later and no poster so I contacted them yet again, this time to demand a refund. They claimed the poster they had sent didn't have a tracking number for some reason (yeah, right) and they could send another one out right away. I finally got a full refund after 6 weeks of my original order. Stay away from Adam Hersh posters, Amazon should dump them off their vendor list for poor business practices and trying to scam customers.

The quality of the image is horrific (it looks like it is a very tiny image enlarged--all the pixels are visible as huge and undefined squares) and the colors are messed up. This poster went straight to the trashcan, unfortunately.

Lovely vivid colorful images without the blocky black boarder of some other inspirational pictures, it's beautiful and eye catching and I've had several comments when people notice it on my walls. Simply beautiful! If you're looking for some inspirational poster on imagination or anything like it and don't want the average print, I'd say go for this one!

(More customer reviews)I ordered this item expecting it to look like, well the photo. What a novel concept, huh? The actual paper it's on may be 13 x 19 inches, however, the image itself is much smaller. It looks like someone printed this overpriced, worthless image (I refuse to call it a poster) on a home printer. I had to cut away the excess white border which just makes it look that much more gaudy. The image isn't even centered squarely on the paper and their is little luster like the photo suggests. This product is a complete waste of money and an utter disaster. Amazon would be wise to yank garbage like this off their site as it reflects poorly on them.
