I ordered this for my new office the colors seemed uplifting and relaxing. I had the poster framed. The poster arrived and the color of the blue is so dark that the branches almost blend in. Very dark looks nothing like the beautiful poster depicted. I was greatly disappointed.

Each poster is mounted in a frame that comes completely assembled and shrink wrapped. Solid backing. Easy to use. No glass parts. Excellent quality at economical price. Backing board of frame is made with a hard masonite composite. Two hooks are attached to the back for vertical or horizontal display. Frame edges are 1/4 inch black vinyl easy snap on U type rail. Face is clear non glare PVC plastic with protective film on both sides to prevent scratches during shipping.

(More customer reviews)Everything was fine with the image itself. The problem I had was that I was looking for a specific size.. 22x28. This is what the description of the poster stated it was. When I received it, the image was smaller. The 22x28 measurement was actually that of the image plus a white border (which is not shown in the picture of the description). Because of this, it does not fit the frame I had ready for it unless I want to show the white border, which I do not.
Also, shipping and handling for this item if you want it sooner than 3 weeks is $20. That is ridiculous!

No damage present. Came in a nice tube so it couldn't get bent. The concept of the rose being broken by the white frames around it are what we enjoyed best.

John Waterhouse (Ophelia) Art Poster Print Review

(More customer reviews)John William Waterhouse (1849-1917) painted this, the most famous of his three depictions of Shakespeare's tragic Ophelia from HAMLET, in 1894. This version shows her moments before her suicide by drowning. Ophelia, pure of heart as the daisies that rest in her lap and lovely as the roses growing near her, sits by a secluded pond, her raised arms alone signaling the distraction of her mind after learning of the death of her father, Polonius, at the hands of her lover, Hamlet. Perhaps the most striking feature of the painting and of the print is Ophelia's luminescent auburn hair, which streams down her back and resembles the water into which she will fall. The print is a good, medium size, and all of its colors ring true. The title and the artist's name are printed on the bottom margin. This OPHELIA looks especially nice framed in gold.

(More customer reviews)While this was an inexpensive version of an old poster print subject, it did not impress me. I did not pay much for it , however, it is no special subject even in the poster line.
It has clear lines and smudges from poor copying and scanning tools. It is hazy and darkened. Being primarily blue, once you stand back 15' it doesnt matter, it blends in but the picture has detail that is lost and it becomes only a blue blend on a wall. The colors which should be in it just do not show up properly. I would suggest a different print such as wheat fields rather than the beach of Sainte Adresse. It would be a very nice one if the printing process had been cleaned up.

(More customer reviews)For the price, the mounting and condition of the item was fine. However, a significant portion of the painting was cropped off to make it fit the dimensions of the product. The photo in the product listing shows the complete painting. However, the print is missing a little over 10 percent of the painting (the loss is in height, including about 1/2 of the large upper cloud, as well as some off the bottom). As much of the lighter areas and sky are lost, what is left seems very dark and confined--not at all the feeling of the painting as a whole. Granted, I should have realized that the painting would not fit the listed dimensions of the print, but I simply didn't think of it given the misleading listing photograph.
