Our frames larger than 12x18 inches include styrene facing (acrylic upgrade is available), a rigid cardboard backing and hanging hardware. Some assembly is required to attach the hanging hardware to the frame. (More customer reviews)The shipper for these frames failed to deliver once and failed to give notice. I had to email to find out it was damaged in shipping and to request the items be sent again. Then they arrived totally broken and no wonder -- there was no individual wrapping inside of the package. Unimaginable for such a fragile product.
I did get a prompt return of my money after the second shipping, but then was required to return the package (at the shipper's expense.)
A very disappointing and unsatisfactory experience.

(More customer reviews)I bought the 16x20 size to fame a picture of my baby girl in her 1st birthday party dress. The cream and the antique gold colors blend really well together. I hung it on a cream color wall and the frame really pops! I am very happy with the purchase. The frame is much prettier when you see it in person versus what you see online. I am planning to buy more in various sizes so that I can display more pictures of my daughter.
My only complaint is that the wall mounting hooks are not attached. It took me a half hour just to attach the hooks because the screws that came with it were so tiny and I didn't have the proper size tool to screw the screws in. I ended up using bigger screws that I had in my tool box. To top things off, the included wire was too short and I couldn't attach it to the two hooks (I was using the frame in landscape mode). So I trashed it and hung the frame on the hooks and not on a wire.
I must note that the seller took the time to bubble wrap the frame to ensure a safe arrival. Kudos to the seller for this. My item came via FedEx and there was no damage at all.

The paint job on the frame was poorly done as well; no attention to detail, it looks like a 1st grader painted the gold highlights with paint splashed carelessly on the frame when it was meant only for the molded highlights. Not nearly as nice as it appears in the picture. I was fooled. Save your money and look for something with higher quality if you are planning to frame something nice.

This was one of our favorites. It had all his favorite characters. Instead of looking at the wall and seeing shadows and monsters, now he looks at his favorites before bed time and I very rarely hear about monsters anymore and even when I do, I remind him that his friends are right there on the wall to scare them away. It has been working so far. :-)

Craig shipped the item quickly and it arrived in just a couple of days. Packing was very well done in a perfect sized box with styrofoam inserts and paper protecting the frame in shipment.
The frame itself is wood with the advertised styrene plastic insert. The backing is basic cardboard, which kind of surprised me.
The frame also comes with a single uninstalled hanger with two screws. These can be hand-screwed in with care, but you'll need to measure to center...there are no pre-drilled or pilot holes to speak of.
But once you've done that, the finished product looks lovely.

It's not worth it to me to return it so I painted the dents with a black sharpie marker and you can't see them unless you get really close. But given the size of the box it came in it should have been in mint condition! I'm very disappointed with how my purchase was handled. This is why I don't like to shop on the internet!

I just wanted a cheap but nice frame for a paint by numbers I finished last summer, and $17 was a steal! I would have liked to have glass with it but it went over the cutoff of sizes that come with glass; the plastic covering it comes with is sufficient though. The packaging was great - the frame arrived in excellent condition and came within a good amount of time!

(More customer reviews)I prefer to print my photos in their original aspect ratio of 3:2 as 8X12s, I started using these frames as they are one of the few frames that I could get reliably that support this ratio. All the frames arrived unbroken. I have had instances in the past where the corner of the frame was damaged. I have also read comments that some have had issued with the glass falling out as it is inserted from the front and held in place by tension. I have used a couple dozen of these frames and have never had this problem. I appreciate the form factor of these frames as they really let the photos speak for themselves.
