(More customer reviews)I purchased a print of a Penny-Arcade comic that is 12"x18" and had been searching everywhere for a frame that would fit it. I could not find a single store selling a 12"x18" frame so I decided to give this one a shot. The box was very well packed, with a combination of large bubble wrap, styrofoam shells, cardboard protecting the corners of the frame, and saran wrap holding the cardboard in place on the frame. The plexiglass also still had the protective covering on both sides of it, protecting it from scratches.
The black satin finish is absolutely beautiful, not too dark and not too light, and the frame is clearly put together with great care. There are no gaps or misaligned corners visible on the front of the frame. It is also very light which makes it easy to hang.
I gave it 4 stars and titled this review "Almost Perfect" because of one issue: the frame does not come with any instructions. The wood structure of the frame is of course pre-assembled, but the frame comes with wire, screws, eyelets, and a hanging hook with no instructions on how they are supposed to be used. The part that confused me the most was what to do with the wire? It's just a few feet of wire, with nothing to tell you how to attach the wire to the eyelets, how much slack should be given, where the eyelets should be attached to the frame, and so on. I took my best guess, but for the price, a simple sheet of paper with instructions would make this a 5-star product.
I am still very happy with my purchase and would definitely buy hard-to-find frame sizes from this company again.
